ABSTRACT

Introducción: gracias al incremento de la tasa de envejecimiento a escala planetaria, resulta imprescindible desarrollar el conocimiento sobre el tratamiento de ciertas patologías, las enfermedades discapacitantes crónicas. Objetivo: Puntualizar en las particularidades clínicas de la artritis reumatoidea en el adulto mayor. Desarrollo: Es ampliamente reconocida su mayor incidencia en el adulto mayor; la artritis reumatoidea en varios casos provoca esta discapacidad. Conclusiones: Resulta imprescindible que los médicos de primer contacto dominen las manifestaciones y los rasgos que suelen manifestar dichos casos, para que sean derivados de forma pertinente al especialista y se eviten dentro de lo posible las secuelas del padecimiento(AU)


Introduction: Thanks to the increase in the rate of aging on a planetary scale, it is essential to develop knowledge about the treatment of certain pathologies, chronic disabling diseases. Objective: To specify the clinical features of rheumatoid arthritis in the elderly. Development: Its greatest incidence in the elderly is widely recognized; rheumatoid arthritis in several cases causes this disability. Conclusions: It is essential that the first contact physicians dominate the manifestations and traits that usually manifest these cases, so that they are derived in a pertinent way to the specialist and the consequences of the condition are avoided as far as possible(AU)
